To qualify for our Seniors Love Adoption Program you need:

  • Applicant must be 60-years or older
  • Complete an adoption application and be an approved adopter
  • Select an animal identified as a senior by the SPCA Staff

The SPCA is not always able to thoroughly examine each and every animal. Therefore your newly adopted pet may have medical conditions of which the SPCA is unaware.  All adopted pets should be taken to your veterinarian for a thorough examination within 10 to 14 days of going into its new home. The SPCA receives unwanted animals from many sources and knows little of their background and therefore does not guarantee the health or disposition of any adopted pet. Veterinary care after adoption is the sole responsibility of the new adopter and the SPCA will not reimburse any veterinary expenses unless expressly stated in writing by shelter management in advance. We also do not offer adoption fee refunds at any time.
