BEFORE 4:00 PM OUR SUPPORTERS HIT $5,000!!!!! SO OUR NEW GOAL WILL BE $6,550 TO BEAT OUR PREVIOUS CAMPAIGN RECORD!!!!!
Every year the SPCA of Luzerne County receives 755 owner surrenders and 16% say it is for financial reasons. A loss of a job or a major health change can add financial instability to a family and makes it difficult to pay for food/litter, emergency vet visits, and other care for pets. Most of these pets are coming from loving homes that are heartbroken leaving their pet. To better serve our community and the companion animals of Luzerne County, we try our best to help those in need keep their pets. Whether it is temporary assistance with a month supply of food or helping pay for emergency medical needs, if the best fit for the pet is to stay in their home, the SPCA of Luzerne County’s new goal is to keep as many of the 118 animals in their homes. To do this, we have created an “Angel Fund” and we need your help to in doubling a recent $2,500 donation from a wonderful supporter. Our goal for Giving Tuesday is to raise a total of $5,000! Consider making a donation to this wonderful cause to keep the animals in their loving homes, and in turn leaving more space in our shelter for the stray and humane cases.
